Russell Stockdale brings over 20 years of experience in product strategy, general management, and marketing to Icertis. Russ currently serves as Vice President and General Manager, Data Protection Cloud at EMC. In this capacity, he leads the Mozy online backup service, SourceOne business, as well as the Spanning and Maginatics acquisitions, for which Russ was the executive sponsor. After starting his career at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), Russ spent over a decade at Microsoft Corporation, last serving as Corporate Vice President in the Microsoft Corporation Business Solutions Division, where he led the integration of the $1.2B Great Plains Software acquisition. During his Microsoft Corporation tenure, he ran product management for Exchange Server and SharePoint Server and solution marketing to knowledge workers. Russ also led end user marketing for Windows 95 and partner marketing for Internet Explorer. After Microsoft, Russ became Vice President of Clearsight Systems, where he was later appointed as President, developing a financial services solution that were ultimately licensed to a New York hedge fund. Russ also serves as a consultant and advisor to technology companies. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and a Bachelor of Science with Distinction in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.
Craig Sherman is a partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he focuses on corporate and security laws, representing companies, venture capital firms, and investment banks in private placements and public offerings. Craig also has a broad experience in mergers and acquisitions, technology licensing and domestic and international joint ventures.
Craig began private practice in 1989 with Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York and Paris and joined Perkins Coie in Seattle in January 1995. He became a director in the Kirkland office of Venture Law Group in December 1996 and was Managing Director of the Kirkland office from May 2000 until August 2002, when he joined Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. He has been a member of the firm’s Policy Committee, Compensation Committee, Nominating Committee, and Finance Committee. Craig received his J.D. from Harvard Law School and holds an M.A. in International Political Studies and a B.A degree in International Relations and French from Stanford University.
Amar spent his early career with Merchant Marines and was the youngest non-EU First Officer with A.P. Moller, Maersk Line. Subsequently, he joined Procter & Gamble in their accelerated Management Track Program, serving in a variety of functions in a treasury, product management, and advertising. In 1992, Amar joined and spent fifteen years at Microsoft Corp. He started and ran Corporate Development, Corporate Strategy, Venture Integration, and Microsoft Capital. In his role as the Vice President of Corporate Development and Corporate Strategy, he oversaw and executed approximately three hundred deals for Microsoft, including the Great Plains acquisition, was instrumental in getting Microsoft into the navigation space, the game console business, the storage business, and the business applications space. Later, he started Trustworthy Computing at Microsoft, which was a major marketing initiative, institutionalized the competitive review process for Microsoft to evaluate its product and business strategies, and then finally got Microsoft into the healthcare vertical. He has also consulted and been on advisory boards for several companies, including Jobster, Mozy Life, EMC, and Nexplore. In his last role, Amar oversaw business development and strategy for the Unlimited Potential Group at Microsoft, whose function was to extend Windows and other Microsoft products into emerging markets, such as Brazil, Russia, India, and China.
Amar holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from the Virginia Commonwealth University, of College of William and Mary, and holds a Master’s of Management Degree with a minor in Transportation Management from the Kellogg School, Northwestern University. He lives with his wife in Redmond, WA and has three daughters based in America. He enjoys writing, cooking, painting, and, as you might expect, the water!
